NOTICE is hereby given to all persons who sat for a matriculation examination for the position of Legal Counsel II, PSC 9 on 29th August, 2016 advertised by the Parliamentary Service Commission in The Standard and The Daily Nation on 23rd February, 2016 that the following candidates have been shortlisted for Oral Interviews scheduled to take place at Protection House, Parliament Buildings on the dates and at the time indicated in this Advertisement-

The attention of the Selection Panel has been drawn to reports appearing in various Media concerning some of the persons selected by the Selection Panel for nomination to the positions of Chairperson and Member of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

Senate commences its special sittings under Speaker Ekwe Ethuro as requested by Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki to discuss bills passed by the National Assembly last week among others. The speaker further asked the  Interior Minister Major General (Rtd) Joseph Nkaissery to withdraw police barricades and security around the precincts of Parliament, as they are not required. He also directs Chairperson of the National Security and Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Yusuf Haji to have the Committee investigate the matter further to establish who ordered the action. National Assembly during its morning special sitting convened by Speaker Justin Muturi has passed amendments to the Elections Law among them the requirement for those vying for MP or MCA to have degrees will apply during the 2022 elections.
