Today the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare led by the Vice Chair Sen. George Mungai Mbugua visited to the County of Nyamira. The Committee paid a courtesy call to the Office of the Governor, H.E. Amos Nyaribo and Office of the Speaker of Nyamira County Assembly. 

The Public Investment Committee on Commercial Affairs and Energy Chaired by Hon. David Pkosing has for the second time met Kenya Forestry Service (KFS)  Acting Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. Alex Lemarkoko to question him over the accounts for Financial Years 2015/2016 and 2016/2017. Members of the Committee had expressed dissatisfaction with Mr. Lemarkoko's responses when he initially appeared before the Committee.

The National Assembly Committee on Environment, Forestry, and Mining led by Hon. Charles Kamuren (Baringo South), has made a visit to Boya Yard and Tezo Community to inspect eight uprooted Baobab trees, awaiting exportation to Georgia.

The National Assembly  Committee on Blue Economy led by the Chairperson Hon. David Bowen (Marakwet East) conducted an inspection visit to Liwatoni, Shimoni, and Kibuyuni in Mombasa County.  The objective of the visit was to assess the progress of ongoing projects in the region and identify any challenges hindering their successful implementation.

The inquiry into the Telkom buyback resumed this morning with one of the key witnesses into the probe that has been running for several weeks taking the witness stand before the Joint-sitting of the Departmental Committee on Communication, Information and Innovation, and the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning.
