The Budget and Appropriations Committee led by the Vice-Chairperson, Hon. Mary Emaase (Teso South) has received a number of legislative proposals by Members for consideration.

The first to appear before the Committee was Hon. Jack Wamboka (Bumula) with the proposed Architects Bill, 2023; which seeks to provide for the training, registration and licensing of architects, and the regulation and development of the practice.

Molo MP, Hon. Kuria Kimani presented before the Budget and Appropriations Committee in a session chaired by the Vice-Chairperson, Hon. Mary Emaase (Teso South), a Legislative Proposal seeking to introduce the Real Estate Regulation Bill, 2024.

 The proposal seeks to provide for the establishment of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, providing for its powers and functions in the regulation of real estate projects.
