THE HANSARD ASSOCIATION OF KENYA CONFERENCE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The Hansard Association of Kenya wishes to thank the following for their continued support towards the realization of the dream which was conceived early in 2014; namely,

1. The Senate Board of Management (SBoM) headed by the Clerk of the Senate and Secretary to the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC); Mr. Jeremiah Nyegenye, CBS, for their continued support to Hansard staff working in Kenyan legislatures.

2. The Hansard Editor of the Senate, Ms. Gladys Ndeda

The Speaker of the Senate, Sen Kenneth Lusaka held a consultative meeting with UNDP Resident Representative, Siddharth (Sid) Chatterjee who called on him in his Parliament Buildings Office.

The talks centred on a proposed model by the UNDP for Universal Health Coverage (UHC) partly through the employment of an “army of Community Health Workers”.

Speaker Lusaka assured Sid of the Senate’s commitment and support to the realization of UHC.

Honourable Muturi has served Kenyans in the Judiciary for than 15 years, where he rose up the ranks to retire as a Principal Magistrate in 1997. During his tenure in the Judiciary, he was elected the Chairman, Kenya Judges and Magistrates Association.

Team Kenya got off to a flying start in Athletics at the 8th edition of the East Africa Community (EAC) Inter-parliamentary games at the Tanzania National Main Stadium in Dar es Salaam with Hon Dan Wanyama (Webuye West) and Hon Victor Munyaka (Machakos Town) powering their teams to victory.

As the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) Senior Challenge pitting National Soccer teams start in Nairobi, Kenya on December 3, 2017; all roads similarly lead to Dar es Salaam for the 8th EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games planned for 2nd to 11th December, 2017.
