Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr. Samuel Njoroge, has called on Kenya Parliamentary reporters to remain factual and objective while reporting Parliament activities.

Speaking at the official opening of an engagement workshop with the Members of Kenya Parliamentary Journalists Association (KPJA) in Naivasha, Nakuru County, he underscored the symbiotic relationship that exists between the National Assembly and the Parliamentary reporters, noting that their reportage shapes opinion in the public space.

The National Assembly has passed the Persons with Disabilities Bill, (Senate Bill No. 7 of 2023).

The Bill sponsored by Sen.Crystal Asige and cosponsored by the Leader of the Majority Party, Hon. Kimani Ichung'wah seeks to give effect to Article 54 of the Constitution; to restructure the National Council for Persons with Disabilities and to provide for its functions and powers; to provide for the institutional framework for protecting, promoting and monitoring the rights of persons with disabilities; to provide for incentives and reliefs.
