New Chinese envoy to Kenya calls on Senate Speaker

Parliament resumes after long recess
Parliament has resumed this afternoon with both Houses sitting after the long recess that started on December 6, 2018. Both Houses had only one agenda on the Order paper. In the National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale moved a motion seeking to add seven new members into the House Business Committee that is charged with formulating business for the House. He was seconded by Minority Leader John Mbadi. The seven are in addition to those designated as members of the committee by virtue of their leadership positions in the House.
