The National Assembly Majority Leader

Hon Aden Duale, EGH, MP, is the first Leader of Majority Party in the National Assembly the 11th and 12th Parliaments under the current constitution. He is the second in precedence after the Speaker of the National Assembly. The Office of the Leader of Majority Party is established under Article 108 of the Constitution. He has been elected into Parliament for three consecutive terms. He is the sponsor of all Government Bills.

He is the incumbent Member of Parliament of the Garissa Township Constituency. He currently serves as: Chairperson of the Committee on Selection Member of the Committee on Appointments Member of House Business Committee

In the 11th Parliament he was re-elected Member of Parliament for Garissa Township Constituency and the Leader of Majority in the National Assembly. He sponsored 101 Government Bills in the 11th parliament. He served in various committees during the 11th Parliament. These include: Chairperson of the Committee on Selection Member of the Committee on Appointments Member of House Business Committee

In the 10th Parliament he was Elected Member of Parliament for Dujis Constituency and appointed Deputy Minister for Livestock by the Coalition Government. Served as a Member of Parliamentary Committee on Energy and Communication in the 10th Parliament.

He holds a Bachelor of Education Degree from Moi University which he undertook from 1988 to1992. He also has a Master of Business Administration from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
