The Liaison Committee

    1. The Liaison Committee consists of the Speaker as chairperson and the chairpersons of all committees of the Senate [and chairpersons or vice chairpersons of joint committees] except ad hoc committees.
    2. guide and co-ordinate the operations, policies and mandates of all Committees;
    3. deliberate on and apportion the annual operating budget among the Committees;
    4. consider programmes of all Committees, including their need to travel and sit away from the precincts of the Senate;
    5. deliberate and decide on which reports of the Committees shall be
  • The Rules and Business Committee

  • The Rules and Business Committee shall be appointed within seven days on assembly of a new Senate. In nominating members to the Rules and Business Committee, each parliamentary party shall include its whip into the membership.
  • Sessional Committee on Implementation

    Sessional Committee on Implementation- to scrutinize the resolutions of the Senate (including adopted committee reports), petitions and formal undertakings given by the National Executive and examine -

    Sessional Committee on County Public Accounts and Investments

    Sessional Committee on County Public Accounts and Investments: - to execute the mandate of the Senate pursuant to the provisions of Article 96 (3), to exercise oversight over national revenue allocated to county governments. The relevant enabling provisions are Articles 228 (6), 229(7, 8).
