The Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration Prof. Kithure Kindiki appeared before the Senate this Wednesday to answer to questions from Senators. The inaugural appearance of Cabinet Secretaries in the Senate started with questions from Samburu Senator Dr. Lelegwe Ltumbesi.

SENATE STANDING COMMITTEE ON AGRICULTURE,LIVESTOCK AND FISHERIES CONSIDERS A STATEMENT SOUGHT BY SEN. HAMIDA KIBWANA ON THE STATE OF NUT INDUSTRY IN KENYA.

The Senate Standing Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries led by Embu Sen. Alexander Munyi Mundigi, MP, (Vice Chairperson) held a virtual meeting to consider a Statement sought by Sen. Hamida Kibwana, MP, on the State of the Nut Industry in Kenya.

The Senator had requested the committee in the statement to;

1. Provide an updated list of the areas under Nut farming in Kenya;

The Senate Standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare Committee Chaired by West Pokot Senator Julius Murgor today met with the Cabinet Secretaries for Labour & Social Protection, and National Treasury to receive their responses on the Statement sought by Sen. Enoch Wambua concerning the payment of one-off honorarium to former councilors.
