The National Assembly has adopted the Budget Policy Statement (BPS) for the financial year 2025/2026, setting the stage for a national expenditure of Ksh 2.523 trillion.
The approved BPS allocates Ksh 2.447 trillion to the Executive, with specific provisions for the Office of the Auditor General at Ksh 8.652 billion. Parliament will receive Ksh 49.488 billion, while the Judiciary is allocated Ksh 26.749 billion.

Mukuruweini MP, Hon. John Kaguchia has raised alarm over an acute shortage of blood testing kits in the country, warning that the crisis could lead to increased fatalities among patients in need of transfusions.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Hon. Kaguchia requested a statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Health, citing concerns over the Kenya National Blood Transfusion Service (KNBTS) running low on essential laboratory reagents and blood bag kits.

The National Assembly has approved the 2025 Medium-Term Debt Management Strategy (MTDS). The approval followed a detailed report from the Liaison Committee, which conducted extensive consultations with key stakeholders, including the National Treasury, the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), and the Controller of Budget.
