Pursuant to the Urban Areas and Cities Act, the Senate Standing Committee on Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations invites members of the public to submit their views regarding Thika's application for city status.

If you want to be part of the conversation, head over to the Thika Municipal Chambers on Friday, March 6th at 10:00 AM for the public hearing. 

Written submissions are also open until March 9th. Submissions can be hand-delivered to the Office of the Clerk in Nairobi or sent via email to clerk.senate@parliament.go.ke.
