Clerks of the National Assemblies/Parliaments of the East Africa Community (EAC) held a an 18^th meeting on Monday, May 27, 2024 to prepare working documents and agenda for the 17^th meeting of Bureau of EAC Speakers’ scheduled for Wednesday May 29, 2024, in Nairobi.

The Departmental Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations led by Hon. Fred Ikana on Thursday, May 23, 2024 conducted inspection visits to various Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) installations in Nakuru County.

Today, the Senate Justice Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee (JLAHRC) led by Bomet Senator Wakili Hillary Sigei convened with key stakeholders including the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP), Political Parties Liaison Committee (PPLC), Inter-Religious Council (IRC), and the Electoral Law and Governance Institute of Africa (ELGIE) to deliberate on submissions concerning the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2024 (National Assembly Bills No. 10 of 2024).

The National Assembly has invited the members of the public to submit their written views on three Bills.

The National Assembly Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations is currently on a four-day inspection visit of Nakuru County to assess projects undertaken by the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).
