Media Rules and Filming

The SAA in liaison with the Media Relations will regulate media activities in Parliament and enforce Speaker’s rules on broadcasting of Parliament sessions. The SAA shall;

The Senate Minority Whip - Sen. Olekina Ledama, MP.

The Senate Majority Whip - Sen. David Wakoli Wafula, MP.

Sen. (Rtd.) Justice Stewart Madzayo, CBS, MP

The Senate Minority Leader - Sen. Justice (Rtd.) Madzayo Stewart Mwachiru, EGH, MP.

The Senate Majority Leader - Sen. Cheruiyot Aaron Kipkirui, EGH, MP.

Aaron Kipkirui Cheruiyot (MGH) is the Senator for Kericho and Majority Leader in the Senate .

He holds Bachelor of Arts in Language and Literary Studies from Moi University. He is currently pursuing Master in Business Administration (MBA ) at Kenyatta University.

Senator Cheruiyot was one of the youngest Senator to be elected into Kenyan Parliament at 29 years in 2016.

He served in crucial Senate Committees that include Finance and Budget , Energy and Standing Committee on Devolution Intergovernmental Relations , Committee on ICT among others .

Deputy Speaker of the Senate - Sen. Kathuri Murungi, MGH, MP.

Hon. Sen Kathuri Murungi, MP is the Senator for Meru County and The Deputy Speaker Senate. He is also a Lead Auditor expert with ISO Certificate Lead Auditor Bureau Veritas, Kenya. (ISO9001: 2008. Quality Management Systems), Lead Auditor Bureau Veritas Kenya; (ISO:14001: 2004 Environmental Management Systems), with accredition to practice.Hon. Kathuri is also a member in The Environment Institute of Kenya.
